Accessibility Statement

Homewise Real Estate is committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to search for homes, view listing information, and contact us regardless of ability or the technology they use.

This statement applies to search.steinrealtygroup.ca, operated on behalf of Brett Stein.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). In Ontario, we also consider the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Integrated Accessibility Standards for information and communications.

Conformance is an ongoing effort. New features are reviewed for accessibility before release.

• Semantic HTML structure and heading hierarchy on primary pages;
• Sufficient colour contrast using tenant theme tokens tested against WCAG contrast ratios where possible;
• Keyboard navigability for main navigation, forms, and interactive controls;
• Visible focus indicators on interactive elements;
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and decorative images marked appropriately;
• Form labels, error messages, and required-field indicators on contact and registration flows;
• Responsive layouts that reflow on mobile devices without loss of functionality;
• Respect for prefers-reduced-motion where animations are used.

Despite our efforts, some areas of the Site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, including:

• Interactive map components (third-party map tiles and markers may have limited screen-reader support);
• Some listing photographs provided by MLS® feeds may lack alternative text if not supplied by the listing brokerage;
• Legacy PDF or embedded documents linked from blog posts;
• Complex data visualizations on market trend charts.

We are working to address these gaps in priority order.

Listing data, map tiles, and embedded widgets may be provided by third parties. We encourage vendors that support accessible experiences but cannot guarantee the accessibility of all third-party content.
